Parental Volunteer Commitment - Bingos, Casinos, Other opportunities

For each player registered in the program, parents are required to fulfill a volunteer commitment.  A list of available commitments is posted on the website.  A cheque or credit card hold for $300.00 at the time of registration is required to ensure you complete your volunteer hours.  Please ensure the cheque is dated for the day of your commitment. If you cannot make the activity you have chosen, it is your responsibility to make sure someone is in attendance or exchange dates with another parent. Your cheque will be returned after you complete your activity. Bingos are all held at Kensington Bingo Hall and your attendance is required by 5pm. Volunteers for casinos and bingos must be 18 years of age.

** Volunteer commitment is not required for Mites Program participants.

For all new players a visible check of their birth certificate or Alberta health care, passport is required for them to be accepted.

Please note uniforms and shorts will be sized at registration.  Bring your child to registration if you do not know what size uniform they require.  A set of team jerseys in the required sizes will be provided to the coaches when they pick up their equipment, as well as shorts

Children will not be placed on a team or provided a practice date until all required documents are provided, and registration fees are paid in full.

The Basketball Season - Minis thru Juveniles

Practices start the last week of September.  The season will start the first week of October and runs until the first weekend prior to spring break.  Practices are held one night during the week Monday thru Friday.  Games are generally played on Saturdays or Friday evenings, an odd Sunday morning as well, with the A/B programs playing on weekdays.  Games are played in Edmonton, and surrounding area.  Breaks in the schedule will occur when school gymnasiums are closed for long weekends and school events.  Parents are responsible to get their child to and from practices and games.  If your child needs to miss a game or practice it is important that you notify your coach.

The Basketball Season - Mites

Mites basketball commences the last week of September and runs thru to March depending on the availability of school gyms that we use for the program.  Mites program runs on Monday nights from 6:15-7:15. Gym allocations are to be determined.

Other gymnasiums and dates may be available depending on what is made available to our organization for this upcoming season.
