The Basketball Season - U11 thru U18
The basketball season starts the last week of September and will run until mid March.
One practice per week are held between Monday thru Friday, typically in local school gymnasiums, and is based on availability from the City of Edmonton. Breaks in the schedule will occur when school gymnasiums are closed for long weekends and school events. Parents are responsible to get their child to and from practices and games.
Games are played in Edmonton, and surrounding area, including the Saville Center, the EYBA Center, and Legacy Center. Community division games are generally played on Saturdays. All players are eligible to play in the community program.
U13 and U15 girls and boys can tryout for the competitive A/B division. The competitive stream will only happen if there are enough players registered. Competitive A/B division Girls games are held on Wednesdays, and Boys games are held on Tuesdays.
The Basketball Season - U9
U9 basketball starts the last week of September and runs thru to March depending on the availability of school gyms that we use for the program. Practices are held one night a week, based on gym allocations and coaches availability (there are no regular games at this level). The season wraps up with a U9 tournament.
Other gymnasiums and dates may be available depending on what is made available to our organization for this upcoming season.
If a player is unable to attend a game or practice, please remember to let your coach know as soon as possible.
For each family registered in the U9-U18 program, parents are required to fulfill a volunteer commitment (1 commitment per family). If you do not complete your volunteer commitment, a $300.00 charge will be added to your account. If you cannot make the activity you have chosen, it is your responsibility to find your replacement. Bingos are all held at Kensington Bingo Hall starting at 4:45pm. Volunteers for casinos and bingos must be 18 years of age.
